Home Screen & Lock Screen widgets
NAS Guard provides two widget extensions: one for the Home Screen and one for the Lock Screen. Widgets show live status at a glance.
Home Screen widgets
Three sizes are available:
- Small — Status gauge (alert count), CPU usage, memory usage, and CPU temperature pills.
- Medium — Three gauges (CPU, RAM, temperature) with pool usage pills and alert summary.
- Large — Server header with alert summary, three gauges (CPU, RAM, temperature), and up to three pool rows with usage bars.
Lock Screen widgets
Three accessory styles are available:
- Circular — Gauge showing alert count with server name.
- Rectangular — Server name, status indicator, and key metrics (CPU, memory, pools).
- Inline — Compact one-line status with alert count.
How to add a widget
- Long-press your Home Screen or Lock Screen.
- Tap the + button (Home Screen) or Add Widgets (Lock Screen).
- Search for NAS Guard.
- Choose a widget size and tap Add Widget.
Live updates
Widgets are updated via push notifications from the NAS Guard Agent. When the Agent detects a change on your TrueNAS (e.g. a new alert or pool degradation), the widget refreshes automatically.
